The Oro Valley Hospital is the closest hospital to Rancho Vistoso, and is located at 1551 East Tangerine Road inn Oro Valley between 1st Avenue and Oracle Road, across the street from the Oro Valley Marketplace Tangerine entrance. Urgent Care vs. Emergency Care - Which should I go to? *Note - we are real estate agents—not medical doctors! The following are simply general guidelines provided during research, including information from the National Association for Ambulatory Care. All medical situations are different, and you must use your own judgment. When in doubt, call the hospital or urgent care, or take directly to the emergency room.

Emergency care
- IF CONDITION IS LIFE THREATENING, GO TO THE E.R. IMMEDIATELY OR CALL 911. Chest pain, compound fractures (bone visible), high fever, anaphylaxis (difficulty breathing), ingestion of obstructive objects, ingestion of poisons, major head injury, seizures, severe abdominal pain, severe asthma attack, severe burns, shock, snake bites, unconscious or catatonic state, uncontrollable bleeding.

Urgent care - Allergies (with absence of anaphylaxis or difficulty breathing), minor asthma attack, cold, flu, fever, cough, dizziness, fractures, insect bites (including scorpions, unless it is a small child or an elderly person) nausea, minor burns, minor cuts/lacerations, minor head injury, pink eye, rash, sore throat, sprains, stitches.

The Oro Valley Police Department is located at 11000 N. La Cañada Drive in Oro Valley, just next to the Town Hall and the Oro Valley Library. The OVPD also has another station on Rancho Vistoso Blvd in Mountain View Plaza at 1171 East Rancho Vistoso Boulevard, Suite 115, and a substation at the Oro Valley Marketplace, located at 1920 E. Tangerine Road. Their website provides a ton of information, including community programs (of which there are many, very cool programs!), safety tips, crime statistics, interesting links (including links to most wanted lists) and more. The OVPD also has a Twitter feed and an Facebook page that are great to follow. Helmed by Chief Kara Riley and comprised of truly exceptional officers, this police department keeps the community consistently rated one of the safest communities in the state of Arizona.

The Rancho Vistoso community is served by the Golder Ranch Fire District. Their administrative offices are open Monday- Friday from 8 am to 5 pm (excluding holidays). You can reach the offices at 520-825-9001. Station 375 is located at 1130 E Rancho Vistoso Blvd., and Station 376 is at 12125 N Woodburne Ave. In addition to fire and rescue service, they also offer community programs and classes.
